Need quick advice for a newbie

hello all! I found a 1939 Omega 30t2 Military Watch. I've been looking for one for awhile and it's this watch that got me into wanting a vintage before getting a new Omega. The guy has 100% seller feed back and he's listing the watch at 650 as a buy it now option. I've seen these models going for well over a grand in terrible condition so something tells me its to good to be true. The hands don't look original to me and I'll he dial looks refurbished. The caseback also doesn't look original. I'm still working on movement knowledge so I could use a hand on that. Is this watch to good to be true?

See how the regulator is pushed all the way to R, opposite A. The watch is almost certainly running fast and in need of service. I am far from expert enough to comment on the authenticity. I will leave that to others.

I just saw another guy post a similar thread a few months ago asking the exact same thing I am but noone really helped him. So I'm not sure if this watch is worth it or not since it's been on eBay now for months without a buyer.

Don't confuse the military-issued version with the civilian version. Apples and oranges with respect to pricing. People are interested in the watches with actual military provenance, but this is not one of them. 32mm watches are not desirable in general.

Someone inquired about this exact watch a while back. I did a search on Omega 2292 (number on inside caseback, called the ref number). See:

Also do the search for what it should look like. I think this one is a hard pass for newbies like us.
