Need opinion on bezel/case small dings

Hey Guys,

I got my SMP diver 300 in fall last year. I purchased it in united states. It hasn’t even been a year since I brought it. I usually baby my watches and especially this one because it’s the most expensive one. I might be getting paranoid here but needed all of yours opinion on this.

There are small dings on the SS Case near bezel scallops which arrived from no where. And it’s heart wrenching every-time I look at it. Did any of you guys also experienced the same with your SMP diver 300? Should I reach out to AD I got it from? Or is it no big deal?

I have attached a few pictures for your reference. Any valuable input would be highly appreciated.

Thank you.

Looks like a wall scrape. Happens often if you wear your watch.
Just ignore it and when you get it serviced ask Omega to polish it out.

If you have to circle it, you should be able to ignore it.

Ohh. Now I get it. I am usually very careful. But certain things can’t be avoided I guess i.e. Taxes, Death and wall scrapes

Watches, especially ones you wear every day, will get dings and scratches. That's life. I would either make peace with that fact or sell the watch. Keeping it pristine is not an option if you're going to wear it.

It's OK. It's like owning a car. The first scratch is going to make you feel bad.

But with a watch, the dings build its story and what it meant to you. I wear an Ultraman at work daily and bang it against everything.

As mentioned, part of Omega authorized service is to include refinishing the case and bracelet as necessary. You'll be taken care of.

You want to really feel bad... ever see a new car tire: pristine, stickers on the tread, little rubber nibs still intact.
Drive it home from the tire shop and look, then do your first road trip and look, ouch.
Hundred bucks, maybe 200, possibly 300+ per tire -- maybe even more if you're driving something fancier.
Multiple that cost by four of them (unless you ride a motorcycle or bicycle exclusively) and then multiple that by how many years you'll own that car or cars from adulthood to death.
Makes a ding on a few thou dollar watch, which as pointed out can be polished if that's your thing, look like nothing.

If Omega can polish out and retread my tires I'll buy Omega tires any day.

Thank you guys for all your kind inputs. I am feeling much better. I am gonna use the heck out of this watch now

This is definitely a re-post, but it needs to be posted:
