Hey folks. My first thread. Thanks for all you’ve taught me so far by lurking, but this grasshopper is in need of your help again.

Was offered this Connie. Have wanted a waffle dial with arrowheads for a while. Don’t recall seeing these type of markers. But I’d like to get your overall impression.

Seller tells me it’s a 2782-2SC. Awaiting pix of the movement. Here is the dial for now

    Your thoughts please...

    Dial looks good.

My concern is the amount of polishing done to the bezel.

Replacement rotor on movement? Also, unless my eyes deceive me, I see no serial number.

As mentioned, I like it other than the loss in definition in these pictures. Maybe get four high def pix around the bezel and be sure we are not seeing flaws in the picture taking process.

Thank you, here's the gator strap I chose.

And, hands can be procured with diligence, waffle dials not so much.

But a Franken is a possibility.

    Thank you,
5-6 years ago a guy on ETSY from Thailand was selling a variety of locally made straps.(when you see my stingray, same guy.)

The lug widths were not to be trusted, I found. This one was said to be 18mm, more like 17.5mm, a definite 1st world problem::rimshot::

I loved the color and the premium quality. It's been my experience that, usually, this cut is reserved for purses, custom boots & shoes, the really high end.

    Hi!
Not an expert on Connies but, I have never seen those hands on a connie before...

And as mentioned, the case looks quite heavily polished imho. The lugs have lost ther original form. Of course better to get morse pics to make sure thought..

The dial is original and untouched, and looks fantastic. I would accept a little overpolishing on that account.

The lugs look ok to me? A tiny bit rounded but most are..
These don't have the chamfers of the later lyre lugs.

    Read these comments again.

Total frankenwatch. Only value here is the dial which is original and quite nice.
