I have been looking for my first Elgin to add to my collection and found one that appeals to me and is priced reasonably (around USD 130). It is with a Grade 643 automatic movement and engraving at the back saying 1957. However, after some homework done online, I found that fonts and symbol on the dial do not quite match some photos of the same model from the internet.

I wonder if it is a reprint or it is perfectly fine for fonts and symbol to vary from watch to watch in the 1950s?

The first one below is the one I want to get and the second and third ones are those from google photo search for comparison. Much appreciate your further comments!

Dial looks ok to me. Price is fair if it is in good running condition, and the rest looks good.
