It's a genuine Omega, but it's in pretty rough shape. The text and the hash marks on the dial are disappearing. The case is in poor condition, one of the lugs has a huge chunk taken out if it. The crown is incorrect. I would definitely pass on this one.

Remember that a being a vintage watch doesn't mean it's beat to hell. There are a lot of much better examples available, if you take the time to look.

The watch has seen better days....I wouldn't buy it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. One in better condition would probably cost me 800-1400 USD correct?

For an example of this one in excellent shape, I wouldn't pay more than $400. And perhaps not even then.

Get to know what you should look after in a specific model - then take your time and strike when the right specimen pops up at the right price.
