Hi, i saw this advertisement for this vintage omega on Chrono24 and i'm contemplating to buy it. Photos are below.

I did a movement check and the date checks out as the watch's listing.
According to seller, lumes in the hands & glass were replaced.
It is being sold for 700EUR.

Its my first luxury watch & i was hoping if you guys would be able to share some thoughts:
    1. if this would be a reasonable purchase
    2. if its a genuine Omega

Thanks in advance for the tips guys!

Dial refinished in "resale" black, case polished and back quite pitted.

Always assume every black dial is redone and work back from there. Look at the applied logo - you see where it's not located where the old one was? G is off on Omega ... I didn't look any further. It was a genuine Omega, once upon a time. It still isn't a fake but it's not as it left the factory.

Man. And i was starting to like it. :(

I was looking at this other watch but i guess the "A" in the automatic & Omega logo is off as well?

Anything that i may have missed out? Are there reputable & decent sellers on Chrono24?

I’m more puzzled by the 6/9/12 indices...haven’t seen those before

The seller in you second post sells a huge amount of poorly refurbished watches that have knackered movements and poorly refinished dials.

Can't say I have either but there's a huge range of dials/furniture with vintage omega and I'd not call one "wrong" just because I've not seen it before.

My pet peeve is sellers who won't post a simple, straight, head on photo of the dial. If everything is from an "artistic" angle, I assume they're trying to hide something. Like here ... I am tempted to go find a ruler to see if "CALENDAR" is actually straight.

When will these guys switch to a lume color that doesn't resemble mushed peas?
