·Hi All - Wondering if anyone can shed some light on this old Omega Seamaster that belonged to my grandfather as I can't see any examples like it anywhere...
- The Movement is 501, from 1956 (Serial Number is 15352577).
- Case Back is 2846
- The face has 'T Swiss Made T' across the number 6 (not below it). From other posts on this forum it looks like this designation didn't come in until 1960, which seems not to match the movement year.
- There are Tritium dots next to of 3, 6, 9, 12
Is there a chance that the dial/face has been replaced after it was purchased? If so is the current dial genuine? What dial would have been there previously?
I'm unable to get any more photos at this time as the watch is currently being serviced (it hasn't run in 25 yrs).
Any insights/ info on this watch would be appreciated!
