Hi guys.
My wife is hell bent on a 26 mm datejust. I tell her that I think it's too small, but it's her choice. The second hand market is for these watches is a bit.. inconsistent. What price range should I expect for a pre owned SS or two tone in OK condition - preferably with a fluted bezel and stick dial (many of these watches are very worn / polished). Is this like asking how tall a ladder is?

I think the cyclop looks odd.

Maybe I just should buy her a BNIB..

Thanks in advance for your help.

I think you are much better off buying used than new. You can get very good deals on used ladies watches.
I am sure you can find a good example under $1500 if you look around. Lots on Chrono24.

Contact DavidSW or Takuya on TRF. 20% off on BNIB from them should be quite easy. Probably more as the 26mm has been discontinued and replaced with the 28mm.

Check bobs watches. Good dealer in pre owned Rolex. Dealer prices but fair and very well respected.

I purchased a yellow gold Datejust 179178 from Bob's for my wife and it worked out great. Great buying experience and she loves it. I agree 26mm is too small, but my wife also wanted it this way, and she does have dainty wrists.

Now I've ALMOST talked her into a birth year white gold 1803 at 36mm, which could also be useful more broadly in our household. 😗 We've got two daughters, so I am just thinking far (hopefully very far) ahead.
