A sapphire crystal is not necessarily interchangeable with a non sapphire crystal. You Omega appears to me to have an acrylic crystal. If that is a fact, the case probably won’t accept a sapphire crystal.
I will never understand why people buy a vintage watch and then want to modernize it.
And I would definitely NOT consider mineral glass an upgrade to acrylic. Glass is the absolute worst, IMO. It scratches badly and you can't polish it easily.
I would say that maybe on the MK series it might be a nice upgrade the put the aftermarket sapphire crystals as the mineral is very scratch prone .
but personally i have never tried using them so i'm not sure about the quality

Yes that’s what I’m trying to do, and upgrade it with a sapphire aftermarket one. Any idea where can I find one to buy?If I have a badly scratched mineral glass crystal, I will replace it with aftermarket sapphire. Usually that's the only choice available these days, anyway, since sapphire crystals are cheap. I have done this on some of my Citizen Challenge divers, polishing the glass is a nightmare. However, I would not "upgrade" a mineral glass crystal that is in good condition.
