Need help determining if the dial is authentic for a 50s Omega Seamaster.

I’m considering getting this vintage omega. Serial number 15XXXXXX. I’ve seen images of the crown, movement (cal. 410) and back lid, everything seems to be in order. However, I’m a bit unsure about the dial, as I can’t find many pictures of dials with only 12 index being Arabic. Is there anyone more knowledgeable than me who could share some thoughts?

Looks okay to me but would prefer to see a straight on photo to be sure about the dial. Omega made a boatload of dial variations.

We would also need the case reference number from the inside of the caseback.

All right, thank you. Can I ask you how you used the case reference number? Does that dictate which dial and hands are correct?

Also, what would be a fair price for a model in good condition (as this one appears to be)?

Please read the other thread. I think this one would be on the higher end of that scale, as the condition on your piece is better than that member’s example.

I do have a question for the experts on this one. To me the dial looks good, snailing in the subdial is good, the lume plots look great, the underbite of the G seems in keeping with the era- but the script for Seamaster seems rounded and bubbly (and the way the "m" connects over the top instead of from the bottom) as opposed to the more angular script of the second one posted above. I know there are variations, but it seems like such a sliding scale. Is it just a matter of taking in the sum of the parts and evaluating based on that?
Also, the hanger S in the second one is bottom heavy as I have seen them and the OP is more even top and bottom, although the hand is covering part of it.

One can never fully judge a dial unless you have it in your hands.

With all of these references from the 1950’s and early 1960’s, Omega used several different suppliers of dials. Some used fonts that were slightly different.

When I say, “it looks good to me”, it is not me saying that this is a perfect dial. It is me saying that based on my limited knowledge, the dial looks like it could be original for this reference.

Very few people know every variation of any watch reference from this era. I’m certainly not one of them.
