Mom & Pop are out gettin’ some lunch for their brood and themselves.
This very elusive eastern spotted quoll was spotted (could not resist the pun!) in Canberra's water flats. It is the first I have ever seen in my long years. Canberra's very strict laws on cat ownership (they must be kept indoors all the time) has meant the ravages of feral cats on little native animals like the quoll are working.
The complete opposite of nature. Fly over a recycle plant
This stunning small pyramidal orchid.(Anacamptis pyramidalis) Grows on a limestone outcrop near me , a pretty rare plant with a faint musky scent to attract pollinators.
A few moose, a marmot, and Colorado Columbine on a hike today.
Was at my local hide, this morning, photographing a moorhen chick. Maybe 2-3 weeks old, and being closely monitored by its mother. A herring gull saw its chance and found its next meal. All the commotion happened within a second. Managed to fire these off without looking through the viewfinder.
Mother, just in shot, doing her best.

Came back from walking the dog at lunch and it look like I had roof shingles lifting from a distance...turned out it was just a squirrel chilling...
