These wildflowers grow on a steep slope on a ancient barrier reef off the coast in Sunderland here in the UK. The pink flowers are early purple orchids, these are stunning rare plants ,the plant with the small white flower is angular Solomons seal, and finally the yellow flower is cowslips.

Took this picture of a cheeky Cedar Waxwing when I was at the cottage last summer. Which is odd because they're never this far north east, and it's only the second time I've seen one in the wild. The first time was at a friend's wedding in Hamilton Ont.

So it all got a bit Alfred Hitchcock on our last constitutional as three kites decided to ride the wind around us. Not sure if they were distracted by prey or a bit of mating malarkey was going on between them. I only had my phone so they did get low. Must take a telephoto next time. .

Bird bath corner, I could happily watch the birds for hours but a bit early for them at the moment.
