Naiad crown?

Hello all, I was reading a Omega timeline and it says that in 1957 the Seamaster 300 was invented.

“... this underwater timepiece was immune to the immense pressures at depth thanks to the revolutionary ‘Naiad’ crown.”

Can anyone elaborate on what Omega means by “Naiad” here?

It was the name Omega used to advertise their patented crown.

Naiads were water spirits of Greek mythology, so someone at Omega thought it would be a good idea to name the crown after them.

I have a 1960 Omega Speedmaster 2998-2 and it came with a NAIAD crown installed. Does anyone no for sure if any Speedmasters came with a crown like that originally? I’ve seen some on Chrono24 and the inter web but I’m not positive because it was shoot to be used only on Seamasters. Any thoughts?

I have a 2998-2 with NAIAD crown as well. I think it is original.
