My very first Omega: A 1940s CK2186 I got earlier today.

Hello, This is my first post here and my first Omega. Bought it today from an antique shop and after a bit of looking around it appears to be a model CK2186 with a 30T2 movement and a case measuring around 38mm across.

I was wondering if this watch appears to be original? I'm pretty sure that the crown is a replacement but does everything else appear to be in order?

I've seen a few for sale and sold but they're a decent bit more than what I paid so naturally I'm a bit suspicious. The dealer who I bought it from claims to have had it for around 20 years as part of his collection.

Overall really love the look of the watch even though it is close to being too big for my wrist (which is something that I've never experienced before in a vintage watch).

Thank you in advance for any help in confirming this watches authenticity.

Looks nice, and with a very clean movement! You are correct about the replacement crown, but a photo of the inside of the case back would be needed to confirm the originality of the case/movement.

Thank you for the quick reply, here's a picture of the inside of the case back.

Here's my 2186 btw - they came in a couple of dial and hand combinations. Yours is all original apart from crown as it wouldn't have been signed and should be slightly thinner like mine.

you've got good taste for an initial omega vintage watch especially a 30T2. i believe it is authentic, that groovey dial is really hard to refinish or redial. congrats.

Heres the wrist shot that was requested. Every time I've thought to get one before it's either too dark outside or raining. I'll get some decent ones in future when I've gotten a new strap on it.

Thank you everyone for the support by the way.
