I acquired this 1963 Rolex Oyster Perpetual ref. 6098 from a friend who lost interest in vintage watches due to the pandemic. Its in very good condition and runs smoothly. The chapter ring dial has aged beautifully and the 36mm stainless steel case with long lugs appear to have been lightly polished. Its a great watch to wear in any occasion. Classy and elegant.

What I love about watches like this, is it’s a watch for you. It’s not instantly recognizable as a Rolex. When you wear it, it feel special- because it is special. It does feel particularly nice when another watch person looks over, then looks up and gives you the smile and nod. Not that we seek the recognition, but just a -hey, nice.
