You can also try a mesh from Watchgecko, pretty good quality, here my short wristroll, details in the description:

I never thought about the taper- been over a year since I last wore an omega. But now I can’t unsee the non tapered bracelet.

And there’s nothing wrong with purple and cranberry!

I have to say the best look is the rubber strap. I agree with you on OEM bracelet... terrible. The Milanese strap looks cheap IMO.
Enjoy in good health.

Beautiful looking watch, really not helping the need for one!!
Nice write up and the Milanese comparisons are really helpful- never really considered them previously.

I love the stock bracelet along with the finishing and Seamaster heritage. Just like the helium escape valve, the non-taper of the bracelet nearly becomes “invisible” to me once worn.

Furthermore, the clasp adjustment system is useful almost daily and doesn’t require taking off the watch or rolling your wrist to adjust. I’m shocked this watch is available for 1/3 Rolex price and to not get it on bracelet initially (and buy the cheaper rubber later) would be a mistake in $ spent. Just my opinion of course.

Reviving a dead thread for more opinions and a bit of info.

If purchased separately: What is cost of the rubber with tang and what is cost of bracelet?

I'm two ways about buying this on rubber or bracelet.

I bough mine in January for right at $300. The OB in San Antonio was able to order and ship to me, I received it in a few days....

To clarify, that was for the rubber with tang. No idea on the cost of the ss bracelet.

SS bracelet is over $1k. Much cheaper to buy the watch on bracelet and then buy the strap. Strap with tang is $300, $500 with deployant clasp. The OB will sometimes through in the strap with tang if you buy from them. Good luck! The strap is the way to go for daily wear. It’s very comfortable.

I bought vintage vintage Omega milanese bracelet which is tapered from 19mm to 16mm. Use it on my Aqua Terra. I presume you could get similar vintage Omega tapered milanese bracelet in 20mm, not cheap though..

Anyone know the part number and the exact price of the bracelet?

Did a lil leg work and found it

$760 USD retail for the bracelet (or so I'm told)...

I bought a white tropic strap to go with the blue.

I also have the blue Omega rubber but I find the whole combo a bit dark.

I'd say the tropic is marginally more comfy. Good quality. Smells of vanilla!

I always hated the stock Seamaster bracelet and hence never bought a Seamaster.
When they introduced the NTTD mesh and rubber strap I have bought the following
NTTD on mesh
Green Diver 300 with rubber and deployant
James Bond 60th and a Diver 300 Black Black (No deployant option with the 21mm lug width which is a bummer.)
If Omega can redesign their bracelet on the Diver 300 then IMHO they would have a Submariner killer.

The chunky non-tapered 90’s style bracelet is the main reason that I’m selling my 2017 SMPc (otherwise, a spectacularly good watch) and recently bought the Seamaster 300 which has an absolutely fantastic tapered flat link bracelet with micro-adjust. Unfortunately, the 300 bracelet is 21mm at the lugs, so it won’t fit the SMPc. Maybe there’s an Omega or aftermarket flat link option that will?

Well, I get where you all come from but for me the bracelet is a big selling point of the SMP! I like the look of it, the feeling of it also. It's substantial, and I like that!

I also actually like the He valve, I know it practically useless to 99% of the people who wear the watch but I like that it's there!

Personally, I don't like the feeling of a leather strap or a nato.

The beauty with watch straps is that for the vast majority of them, you can swap. I still think you should always buy on bracelet and then buy what you really want to wear it on but that's just my opinion...

I like the original bracelet. A tapered Bond bracelet would look dumb. I just wish there were OE bracelet options for it. It's either the original bracelet or the mesh. The newer watches are thicker and the bracelets fit differently so you can't even use any of the previous generation's bracelets either. A nice 1450 or 1610 style would be fantastic and probably satisfy the rabid tapered wanters. I'm wearing mine on an US 1450. Wouldn't mind trying one of the flat links currently available on it in the future.

I have that bracelet. It's very comfortable, except there are some very sharp edges.
I have been wearing mine on an inexpensive archer tan canvas. Very comfortable.

Still believe that a redesign of the existing Bond bracelet wouldn't work if a tapered bracelet is really wanted. A completely new one or a modernized vintage one could work.

I've been wearing mine on a Forstner Contemporary Flat-link modified with a pressure clasp.
