The picture says most of the story. I just got my custom Mitsukoshi dial conversion back from the watchmaker. I'm really happy with the work! Mitsukoshi dial, Snoopy hands, standard speedy subdial hands, and a 3572.50 starting watch.

I'm loving it so far and now picking out my favorite strap options.

Please post more full dial/hands view pictures. A very I tersting mod and the angled photo looks like it’s a lot better for visibility than the other Panda dial/hand combos.

Thanks!

(Congrats on completion of your mod!)

How does the hesalite distort the dial? Anywhere as nice as the black dial? Considering the same mod, but torn between using a hesalite or sapphire sandwich. For some reason, I think sapphire will help the dial catch the light a bit better. Thoughts?

Hmm, that's an interesting thought about the sapphire for this dial specifically. I'm not sure! I definitely like the hesalite, but then again, I always have. I never considered a sapphire speedy.

Here's another pic showing the whole watch more clearly. I never really liked the silver hands, so the Snoopy hands were essential for bringing together the look for me.

That looks good with the Snoopy hands

The Snoopy hands are just black, not dark grey or anything?

That's correct. Or at least, they're close enough to black that they look black in all lighting conditions. I'm not sure if they're officially called black.

I very much considered the grey italian hands which I also could have sourced, but I thought it was a bit too many colors on the dial in the end.

Very nice mod with the black hands, and keen to see what straps you go for. Have you considered an Aston Martin cordura CWZ004526?

Good choice, I think the black looks perfect. I have silver FOIS hands on my mitsukoshi but did consider black / grey option, I think i might still have a set of black hands, from when parts were reasonably priced

Man, that looks so nice.... Got me drooling all over my keyboard. I've read that those dials are pricey, but what is the general ballpark price on the parts alone for this kind of conversion? Dial and hands?

This looks really good. I’ve wanted to do this conversion for awhile but I never considered these hands. Now if I ever do it I couldn’t imagine it any other way. Nice job.

Are you sure they are snoopy hands? The lume color doesn't look right to me.

I'm definitely still tossing around strap ideas. The one on it right now is the one I dropped it off with when it was standard black dial.

Service center charged $750 for service, $400 for dial, and I sourced the hands from swisslimitededitions.com for $250

There are multiple Snoopy hand part numbers because the service hands were updated with modern white luminova, which is a bit different looking from what the watch initially shipped with I think. The Service center double checked that they were authentic.

Well done. I’d considered this mod a few years back, but was going to use the silver hands. This is much better.

I'm having trouble remembering the brand currently, but I'll come back to this if I can remember.
