hi, i am brand new into vintage watches and i am really excited to learn more.
i have been following along for a while and i am finally ready to purchase my first omega watch.
i really like c-shape Constellation and i have found to examples.

dial: both dials look good to my untrained eye but i would really like you guys to take a look at it.
case: i think both cases look okay, they are of course far from perfect but i think i can live with that.
hands: looks okay but knowledge is very limited.

i have not decided whether i want both of them of just one and i think i depends on what you guys think of the watches.

i am planning to wear them everyday so they will probably need a service.

as a beginner into vintage watches i think the price ranges a lot so i have some difficulties finding out what's the right price so maybe some of you can point me in the right direction.

best regards Jesper

Based solely on those photos, I personally like the second one better. The dial is nicer and the case is sharper with more of its original finish. I don't know if the hands are correct, however, so maybe you can do some research and see if you find other examples with the same hands. Or maybe someone else will know.

I also like the second one better although I’d probably hold off on both as even the second one has seen a fair amount of action. That said, of the two it does have slightly sharper edges and I assume it’s an earlier cal 564 which is a classic Omega movement. The day/date is a cal 751 I believe. Also, day-date watches are a pain in the backside. You don’t say what the prices are so we can’t comment on that.

Check previous completed auctions and forum sales. That's what we all do to get current values. 👍

The Day-Date isn’t a 751 (no chronometer text on that dial) so probably a 752
I think the chrono text is below on the dial.

Are these watches with chrono text in the bottom field export to Japan? I read it somewhere.

Of these two, definitely the second (date only) as it's a cleaner and more classic look for the c-case. AND, I'd hold off and find a better example. Read ALL of the c-cased thread here as @Longbow suggested, and Desmond's blogs (https://omega-constellation-collectors.blogspot.com). For some weird reason, Japanese eBay sellers frequently have really tidy examples that you can either buy or use for price research purposes.

Welcome to the forums, and keep us posted!

::facepalm1:: So used to seeing it at the top I completely missed the text below. I should just let my daughter respond to these sorts of threads

First dial is more like a collector's item because it's so ugly yet unique, I recently got one - for a regular purchase the starred dial is just so much more beautiful

<$700 each, second one is usually cheaper and it’s a no lume model so it’s kinda better to wear, more contrast
