How many people do you expect will understand this?

Brilliant

Oh, and be careful where you use it. Can't tell you how many documents I trashed with global substitute. And most of my career was on old IBM machines that didn't have chain undo.

I have a 28mm vintage which I think is absolutely fine size wise.

But I also have a 34mm Seamaster and a 39mm Speedy. Basically, get what you like - there’s no rules. Wear and enjoy.
Very true! Also, a thing to remember is watch sizes for men were much smaller then compared to now. I love my 34mm watch on my 7" wrist.

To anyone else, wear what you like regardless of someone else's view on it.

Depends what you like!
I own big and small watches and wear them all.
If this satisfies your taste and fulfills the reason you bought it then it should be the right size for you.

If you like it, do not just return it due to its size. Diameter is not the only parameter, lug to lug width changes the look and feel too. I would wear that size of diameter but not that one.

Honing my comments on the original question, I would say the opinions of others although useful will not solve your problem. What is important is how you feel. You do not want to have a watch in your collection that you are second guessing. It is down to you to work this out.

If you don’t feel great when you put on a watch chances are you won’t pick it up often and if you don’t pick it up often you might find yourself regretting the purchase.

I regret selling a watch a year or so ago that at the time I considered small but equally I have been delighted that I have sold others and shed myself of money being tied up in objects that do not feed my passion or desires. That money was put to better uses.

My comments before were very generalised and did not focus on the watch in question, which in my opinion is quite sporty. Although everything is subjective as a designer I believe I do have some authority to give opinion.

Although the watch is personally not one that resonates with me, perhaps you could consider when you would be wearing it. It is not a dress watch so I would not be wearing it for formal occasions which suit an elegantly proportioned time piece. It is somewhat sporty and casual so perhaps a larger size would suit it better as it would suit more casual outfits like jeans and shirt, items that are unlikely to be tailored and would suit a watch around 36-38mm more closely.

Take my advice with a pinch of salt though as contrary to popular opinion I struggle to fall for my 38mm Omega from the 1940s because it just doesn’t feel elegant to me. Whilst many love this model.

So use what people have said, I hope it should get the cogs whirring and help you consider how you feel.

Many people have said you shouldn’t care what others think and that is entirely true, but I understand how some people this might be easier said than done. It is important for you to enjoy your hobby rather than feel self conscious about it so only you can decide what is right for you!

I hope this helps somewhat! ☺️☺️☺️
