My first Omega - is the size "right"?

Last week I got hold of a Constellation '95 on the market. This is a model that has never interested me particularly, but I thought about giving it an attempt. Loving the watch so far, but a bit "worried" about the size. With its 33,5mm without the crown, this is by far the smallest watch I've had.

What would you say, is this a good size for me or is it more of a female fit?

Thanks in advance!

Depends, do you like how it wears? I'm guessing maybe not since you're asking 馃榾

I have smaller wrists but even decades ago when I started wearing watches, I preferred them to fill most of my wrist. I want to be able to see that sucker!

Who cares what others think if you like it. I wear 34mm and I think it鈥檚 fine. Smaller watches rock.

I'm a bit torn. In Europe and North America, I've only seen these Constellations as women watches but then on the other hand during my time in Asia it was quite a popular gents model.

I guess it just boils down to personal preference, but I can't shake off the feeling that I bought a ladies model.

It's a more classic proportion, back when smaller, thinner watches went with a cuff. If you like it then wear it. There's no right or wrong despite what the Internet may try to tell you.

EDIT: Typo.

To give an honest opinion seeing as you're asking, to me that model does look a bit small on your wrist and the larger size (which still isn't large, 36/37mm I think?) would look better.

I do wear vintage watches from 33.5mm and up, but just the design of that era constellation which is very unisex, in that size IMO would better suit a lady's wrist.

The below pics for instance look perfect, but they're more masculine in design.

Of course with these things it's very much each to their own, just giving my thoughts I'm the interest of balance.

I don't think it looks too bad, was expecting it to look smaller

Thanks a lot for your honest comment, and to all of them from the community. The more I think of it the stranger it feels on the wrist. Please keep your comments flowing in, I have a 24h return policy and if I decide to let this one go I'll probably get a blue dialed automatic Constellation that is one size larger, 36mm.

I think that model is typically marketed as a ladies size, but that doesn鈥檛 mean it has to be (the design is shared with it鈥檚 larger model). Try wearing it with a long sleeve shirt and it may totally change your mind. I can wear 31-34mm under long sleeves and they feel perfectly normal- in fact I prefer them as they are less bulky. Then I roll the sleeves up and they feel a little small with all that arm showing. Thus why you can鈥檛 have too many watches - choices are good.

If you've a 24h window to change, why not change it to 36mm as you have doubts about the size.

I just tried this on, it鈥檚 about the same size, but just looks and feels too small. I think the dial size makes a difference too.

My 34 mm Constellation 167.005 next to my 42mm Speedmaster Professional. I don鈥檛 wear them simultaneously, but I love them both. Wear what you like.

Both look good. One is a dress watch and other a chronograph.. both good in their own way.

Looking good! It's nice to have a smaller, vintage-sized watch for when you're in the mood to change things up. I enjoy wearing a late 50's pie-pan Connie every now and then.

If you'd like to bulk up the Constellation 95's appearance, might I suggest swapping out the bracelet for a leather strap? Specifically, a strap cut with less taper compared to that generation's bracelet. I missed my opportunity to buy one of those limited edition, Sedna-debut pie-pan Constellations from 2013, but loved the way that watch wears on leather. Still kicking myself for not buying this when they were available at AD's.

While that leather strap does have a notable taper, I hope it helps to visualize how a modern Constellation looks on leather.

To give you all an update: I decided to let the watch go back to the seller since I still can't "connect" to the watch due to its size. Let's see what the future brings instead and save up the money for something better!

I might give the new Constellation Manhattan a try if I run into one anytime soon. Thanks for the recommendation regarding the leather strap, but I personally think it looks better with a bracelet in the case of the Constellation Manhattan!

It鈥檚 not the size but the style. Constellation is geared towards women and shows it. Looks like a feminine watch.

I鈥檝e got a 15.5cm wrist and easily wear a Speedmaster Pro 42mm on leather strap (that鈥檚 the secret to making it look good) but am also looking for a 34mm Oysterdate Precision. It鈥檚 the style of the watch that makes it wearable.

That bracelet looks great on the Constellation, I never would have thought of that combo.

Is that a Forstner or JB Champion?
