My First “New” Omega in a Long While

I used to buy and flip new Omegas like crazy, a few years back. I do wish I had held on to a few of them. Now that I am retired, I have gone in a different direction, collecting mostly new and vintage Seikos. Lately, though, I have added some new affordable Swiss watches. But yesterday, I bought this jumbo Seamaster, from 1972. It has a 40 micron gold plating, which seems to have held up pretty well. The patina is just enough to look charming. Seller says it has just been serviced, so let’s hope that’s true. I don’t care much for the color of the attached strap, so purchased a darker brown vintage looking one, and a vintage gold plated OEM buckle. I am excited to get back into collecting Omegas.

Welcome to the forums Kat, and welcome back to Omega! Many of us here enjoy Seiko as well, so feel free to share some pics of your vintage goodies...
