Depends massively on the dial but yeah why not. I don’t think you’d actually get that in a sale as the chances of someone wanting a -68 who also has the correct dial and also needs the dial your watch has are slim. Likely it would be a project for someone and they’re going to have to sell one dial separately and then source another which is a pain in the arse, so perhaps more like £4k.
ah ok, wouldn't sell it anyway but it's nice to know, I though it might be worth a lot more before coming on the forum but in a way its ok its not otherwise i'd be worried about wearing it.
my only fools and horses lesser watch moment will have to wait.
One more clue. If your father thinks that the bracelet is also original to the watch, then the case is also probably original, because that bracelet is compatible with that case. The "straight lug" case associated with the dial has 1mm less space between the lugs.
Agreed Donn, I will keep it as it is, just need to find a pusher and get it serviced, does anyone know a good reasonably priced service place in London or is it best to send it back to omega with express instructions to keep everything as original as possible and return any replaced parts?
And do NOT send it to Omega...I've heard stories where they disregard the instructions and swap out anything they need to make it look as new as possible. Best options are what @Davidt suggested
