it's a brand new fake and the faker signed the case back, good sense of humor

The emblem on the case back .. from what i have gathered is the mark for the AFGHAN Military ... my friend ... Mustafa Sarwary in KABUL has a vintage 120 and i inquired about the mark on the case back of his 120 .... pictures of his 120 ... seems the afghan military were issued these watches according to him .. as i have seen the mark on a few pieces as well floating around for sale ... so ur statement ... "FAKER SIGNED THE CASE BACK" ... might not be so accurate

when I sent my watch to Omega I wrote a note as to what I wanted DONE and NOT DONE to the watch .... first and foremost on my note was ... A MOVEMENT SERVICE / OVERHAUL .... and I also indicated on my note NOT TO POLISH watch case, NOT TO REPLACE DIAL or RELUME DIAL [ NO LUMINOVA] ... i also had a vintage BOR bracelet with 18mm end links ..... I intentionally attached to my watch and indicated that I would like to secure 19mm end links for the BOR so that it would fit nicely for my 120 .... Omega also found the 19mm end link i wanted... before proceeding with the service I requested Omega send me photos of the parts they will use on my watch ....... i have attached the photos i received from Omega and the parts ref# ...

U know I just check out this watch ... the watch case seems correct but polished, the hand set seem correct, the dial being refinished seems correct, the handset seems correct, the movement is correct, the bezel looks like a vintage bezel ... but also refurbished re touched ... now my question is what made u say it is FAKE ? ... refurbished I would agree with .... but fake ?

And if Omega agreed to all your requests, that means they never would have done those things in the first place. The exception is the refinishing - they have always honoured that request unless something gets miscommunicated, and someone refinishes it anyway.

But if they agree to not replace or relume the dial, that means they never would have done it regardless. Omega will not leave parts on a watch that they believe will jeopardize their service warranty, because they don't want the watch to come back.

thought i'd communicate with them what i would like done and not ... better safe than sorry on my end .... very please the way they accommodated my requests and the extra effort of forwarding photos of parts they would use ....

vintage ad ...

It's interesting how a no-date Seamaster 300 with a bracelet was the same price as a Seamaster 120 with date and bracelet

So why is the 300 much more expensive then the 120? Is'nt it time for the 120 to shine?

Hi all,

Forgive me for my ignorance, but after reading through 8 pages worth of valuable information on the Seamaster 120; one question remains unanswered: which references are okay to come with a date in black on a white background, and which ones should come with a white on black font? Looking at the ad posted above by @hmmmcamu, it was supposedly correct for both the manually and automatically wound models for a certain period of time?

Appreciate more input on this, thanks in advance!
