…. So, is that a dealbreaker ?
And the bezel… I saw them already make insert or replacements for the print
Could that be or is it genuine ?

Isn’t that reference number the no date ??
165.027
There we go, thanks @COYI for the sharp eyes- I didn’t even catch that in that blurry (intentionally?) photo.

So we have wrong second hand, wrong case back, wrong endlinks….the parts may all be genuine Omega (except endlinks), but this is looking more and more like a cobbled watch

The factory bezel doesn’t take an insert- it’s a solid anodized piece

Ok good. Let’s see what the seller responds to this Reference number issue.
For over €2k I would want 100% correct with no questions (well, I would want that at any price). This is looking like a pass

As well as the incorrect seconds hand, the minute hand doesn't look original either. It could be a service replacement

Yes the lume is too thin on the minute hand. I saw that.
But still, if that bezel is original that is the best kept condition I’ve seen so far.
I will see what he responds. The case back can be changed I guess or you think then the whole case is wrong ?

Getting that watch back to “normal” will be expensive and take a long time waiting for the parts to show up on the used market. I think best to move on and wait for another.

A little steep

Yep, I'd love to replace my date with a non-date version, but not at this price. Well, it may never happen, which is also fine 😀

I agree with both of you that it's steep and that's why it was a pass for me. But compared to the previous option I'd rather go for this.

Beautiful example, but I cannot get excited about the bracelet. The SM120 is so slender and as a vintage watch it really deserves to be worn on something else that let's you celebrate the watch case / dial / etc. Bracelet just makes it look like Robocop. IMHO!

Appreciate all the inside info. This reference is on my wish list, and I can see that buying one without looking back here first would be a mistake. thanx!
