That wont help. They do nothing after reporting it. I did it once (also with a fake 120). They did nothing.

more someone didn’t have their coffee and went on a 5 post rant on the person that pointed out there are a lot of fake watches out there and perhaps you should point out what’s wrong with it to teach. Claiming everyone at OF is spreading the news far and wide that this is a fake is a little over reacting don’t you think? I mean there are a lot of fake watches on auction right now including a claimed prototype at a major auction house.

I didn’t read it as ridicule just that you where over exaggerating.
FYI post was pulled as that group deletes any mention to OF.

I did report it to Catawiki, as I was checking out this watch, but they answered after the lot ended and they are asking for more evidence... I already pointed out the suspicious details you all provided in here (grey text, dial in almost too mint condition, back engraving too deep, etc) so what more can I do (?)
And the email says if you/I do not send more evidence they will fall back and rely on their “expert’s” previous opinion.

    Thanks for this overview Gemini4,

I am looking at a Seamaster 200 with a red second hand. Do you know about the history or legitimacy of this?

    Any tips or leads appreciated.

The seconds hand should be white so the original has probably been painted or replaced.

That dial doesn't look great and is quite possibly water damaged.

What a nice thread! Unfortunately I noticed it after buying a 166.027 (without a bezel ).

So finding an original bezel is going to a be a challenge?

I've only seen one genuine one for sale in the last 18-24 months unfortunately.

I like quests, thus so as soon as my new Time Piece arrives I'll visit some places in the Netherlands and Germany.

Hopefully one of them will open a 'forgotten' drawer...

Reported and now removed, even though it was sold by the time I reported it. A second one they had has been removed as well.

Please keep posting this stuff here, even if it's one at a time, every one we can keep from becoming a complete watch and sold on as genuine is a service to the Omega community.
