What do you guys think? I believe it to be the best one I have seen. I'll be listing it for sale today. No flaws I can see on the dial.

Looks pretty good to me. Hard to say more without a close up of the dial but it certainly looks clean.

Wait, I was told mine was a 120
This would be a late 120 from the 90s (ish). The watches that this thread is concerned with were made in the mid to late 60s and early 70s.

For a minute I thought you were telling the japenney his was from the 90s. It looks very nice to me. I can't say it's the BEST with the missing pip, but the patina and dial are very nice and warm. Bezel, hands, crown look original to me. The bracelet is neither here nor there unless you list it as original. In the current market it could fetch 2500 ish for just the head.

I appreciate the input on the originality.

First time poster to OF. This is a super helpful and informative thread, which I am only about two years late reading. Nonetheless, is it possible to replace a missing lume pip? If so, how does one do that?

Hi guys, I have recently taken the plunge on this piece here:

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Diver-Omega-Automatic-Seamaster-120-Ref-165027-Cal-552-Original-Dial-Patina-/173899355329?hash=item287d3594c1:g:e3MAAOSwD3pc1VTs&nma=true&si=mLihCpoMzuQW68xjAJa8hkuhMc8%3D&orig_cvip=true&nordt=true&rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.l2557

I have only just seen this thread and now I have some alarm bells ringing - namely the ref on case back (165.0002) and the condition of the bezel... Does anyone with more experienced eyes see any red flags?
Yes, I see red flags. I dont believe that bezel is original to the watch. But the caseback is fine. You only dont see the 7. it's probably saying: 165.00027

This thread is very helpful. The 120 has been on my list for a while so the more info the better, including bad back jobs and fake/remakes to known how to spot the red flags

Yes, bezel pearl replacements are available in luminova. Check with your watchmaker for the part. Tritium would be the period correct pearl, but to the best of my knowledge they are not available.

Not sure where they would get one, because this part is no longer available from Omega, so if they are replacing it they either have found a bunch of old ones, or are using something that isn't an Omega part...
