And you will have a well functioning Constellation you can wear daily as a wonderful heirloom memory of your father. Money well spent IMO. I wouldn’t worry for a sec whether it could’ve been done at lower price you chose a good service option. Please send photos on receipt!!

Thanks for those kind words. Now I can see the dial clearly I can see the problems. In fact I can't stop seeing them!!! Anyway it is something my dad had done, so I will smile wryly and remember him every time I notice the 'ls' in Constellation are different heights and all the other things wrong.

This is what they did at that time and it looks good so I would try to look at it as a wonderful heirloom and wear and enjoy.
If you want to be a picky collector you can find other watches later !

Unfortunately in the three weeks hanging out on this forum I have caught the bug. I didn't realise how contagious looking at truly beautiful watches is. I also seem to have expensive tastes. I dream of Seamaster 300s and no date Rolex Submariners. I need to start saving.

You wouldn't be the first. That's how I started. An inherited connie and hey maybe I'll get just one more.... It's never just one more.
