Superbe Constellation et très belle histoire.
C'est un héritage qui n'a pas de prix

Received from Omega Bienne the "Extract of the archives" confirming that this watch was made on August 27 1956 and sold new in Switzerland.
I remind that my father bought it in Geneva in 1956 or 1957, so all is OK 😉

Welcome to OF.
Great introduction, enjoy the watch. In my experience, no watch you will ever wear can surpass the joy of wearing you dads old watch. It's a beauty.
My advise to you is ..... LEAVE NOW !!

Or you can stay and start looking at the many other beautiful watches here. Eventually other members Seamasters and Speedmasters will " speak to you " until you feel you must have one more.

Wish someone told me this. Since finding this place I suddenly find myself with too many watches !

You have been warned.

😁 😁 Many thanks Ravineman for the warning, you're right as I already dreamed of a Speedmaster since I was young.

That's probably the reason why I had a Citizen Eco-drive for 12 years that is really evocative of a Speedmaster, I have many friends passionated by nice watches who were surprised ... 🙁

But it's not a Speed, maybe one day !

Fantastic piece and great that it has such memories attached to it. Very difficult to find one like this in such condition that has an untouched dial. Enjoy it!

Enjoy that fantastic watch

Ps your valuation is pretty good - $1.5 to 2k would be about right
