It’s getting addictive.... out of curiosity...if one had to go, which one? ....and what should I add?
Looks like a very solid collection Personnaly I would swap the speedmaster automatic for a moonwatch if I had to change something.
This. ^^ We can’t tell you what you like or prefer. It’s a personal taste thing. But these 3 cover a good spread of needs
you can go either - vintage or new/recent models, single or limited or multi-brand (each has a story to be told), expensive or reasonable (within one's budget). , automatic or manual, mechanical or digital or quartz. it's your money. good luck and enjoy collecting.
Get rid of the Breitling and the white speedmaster auto and save a bit, then get a tritium Speedmaster professional then a tritium rolex 16710 GMT... that way you have 2 classic divers, 2 omegas, 2 Rolex, 2 chronos and a GMT...
This is only the 24th use of "burgeoning" on OF. Congrats! But seriously, it looks like you have three divers out of five total watches, which may be a little unbalanced.
If you didn't want to sell any, I would be more than happy tp look after whichever you didn't have room for. I would even pay the postage to get it or them here. I have a nice safe they could sit in and I promise to keep them wound and looked after well. I would even wear them on occasions to keep them feeling loved. Les
Keep the speedy auto. Stay with the resistance. We will not be bullied by the moon or the pros. I am grateful I bought a mundane speedy rather than a pro
The speedy auto was my first ever purchase of a decent watch many years ago...too much history to part with it!
That’s a nice collection. Me, I’d probably ditch the breitling as it serves the same purpose as the sub. I’d also probably exchange the speedy for the new speedy pro. As a replacement for the breitling and the white dialed speedy, I’d add something like an aqua Terra with white dial on rubber strap.
none of the them serve a purpose really do they? Obviously it’s a matter of personal taste, but the Breitling, to me, is the most good looking of the five.
Seriously, the Breitling is easily the best looking. Interesting no-one has mentioned the Cuervo Y Sobrinos.
It's all personal taste, but since you asked... the Cuervo Y Sobrinos is my least favorite: I don't like the mix of Roman and Arabic numbers, and the dial is very busy. I would also part with the speedy automatic, as I don't like the colours, and in addition I'm a traditionalist & a speedy should be wound. Instead, consider a gold dress watch (thin & simple) and a GMT.
