    :(

Just got round to looking at some photo's I took a while back and just realised that my baby has a scratch, what's more galling is I know when and how it happened but couldn't see a scratch at the time so wasn't worried, but its there, all sparkly and clear, my beautiful watch has its first proper scratch.

Oh, well I suppose it was inevitable and going to happen at some point but it still hurts. :(

Yes its Hesalite, a scratch magnet apparently, but I hear that it is good enough for walking on the moon so I guess I can cope with a the odd scratch now and again. :whistling:

It will be fine. Order a tube of polywatch. No hassle.

    That’s called character Martin.

Polywatch or a bit of Brasso does the trick - back better than new in no time. Mind the Bezel and you’ll be fine in no time

Mine is circa. 20 years old- worn day in and day out for 15+ years, it’s hit a load of door frames in its time, gone through a load of brasso and poly Watch. Still looking pretty good.

Ha , what a coincidence. I had a quite a few scratches on mine some were quite deep. Just couple of hours ago I took some 1200, 2000, 4000, 8000 grit paper and then some polywatch and ..

Took me about 15 min. Just mind the bezel/insert. It'll be fine.

Don’t listen to everyone else. It’s irreparable and should be discarded. You can send it to me and I’ll take care of disposal.

Sorry, but the wife beat you to it she said exactly the same, she's loved the watch since I bought it and wants it for herself, but she's not getting it. :)

In that case I’ll throw my lot in with the Polywatch crowd. Use it on all my watches.

And btw- my 47 year old Speedy, which I have owned for almost 20 years, is on at least its 3rd crystal and second bezel.
