As anyone who has read my posts knows, I'm not too keen on the monocoque 168.015 and 168.025 Constellations.
However, I do appreciate a watch in good condition and that's what I thought this might be when it popped up in my auction alerts.

However, on closer inspection, whilst the case does look pretty good for anyone who likes this reference - there is a bit of an issue with the pie-pan dial (and I don't just mean a bit of patination )

The cross-hair pie-pan dial looks correct but IIRC this reference was released around 1967, whilst the 'missing text' dial was last issued around 1962, so someone has managed to marry an earlier (probably a 14393 from the indices) dial with a 168.025 case.
So one to be avoided if you like parts that began their life together. (and I do hope that is not water in the date window...)
