Motyet Instagram - help & warning

Hi
I removed instagram from my phone as I was spending waaaaay too much time on it.
I then reinstalled the app and logged on, however it asked me to 2 factor authenticate. Which I couldn’t, as I had never set up that functionality…
It then asked me to authenticate with a video of myself. However that doesn’t work as the only faces on my profile are of watch faces…

I tried to install duo mobile which showed me that my Instagram account has been disabled.

although it doesn’t say this when I complete the first part of my log in via password.

so if you are thinking of deleting instagram make sure you have set up 2 factor authentication..

Has anyone else had this issue and been able to resolve? I can’t see any option to contact instagram on their website or any help specific to my issue of being asked for 2 factor authentication when it wasn’t set up.
