Sell them both.

if you selling an old book gives you this much angst then imagine what you will feel when you dent your first bezel.

the amount involved might be more than both books put together.

I ordered mine on the 24th through their ebay account. Estimated delivery this Wednesday.

They have many poor reviews about slow delivery. I guess we'll have to be patient.

Thanks - but as a reference guide, do you really think the first edition of this, will become more valuable than the 3rd edition? I think these type of books while available, over the medium term (at least for the next 15 years), will not be worth more than cover price, with earlier out-dated issues being less valuable than more recent issues.
But I still think I agree with you - sell the first now, and keep the 3rd.
Some people collect these books - and because of supply and demand, the old edition will increase more in value. But I will never buy a book for investement. I bought and received the 3rd edition right before Christmas, and it is so much more informative than the 1st. edition.

I just bought the 3rd. I’ll be selling my 1st shortly. No reason to have more than one book that are so similar.

Yes, this is just the protection sheet, underneath that is the hard cover with a golden Speedy. 😉

Mine is now on eBay, at a fraction of that!
I collect first edition books and there are many books on Abe that ask stupid prices but never reach them. That said, categories of books that reach high prices might surprise you. Cook books, books on fishing and hunting and children's literature all do very well compared to popular books of fiction.

My 1st edition just sold. Once its sent to its new owner, I will unwrap my 3rd edition, which is still in its cling-film wrapper!

What do you about this one compared to the "Omega Speedmaster The Moon Watch" book? Is the moonwatch only book only contain the moonwatch or could I see more details about the other ones such as the automatic speedmasters, speedmaster moonphase (valjoux), speedmaster perpetual calendar, speedmaster mark X/X.X, and Omega chronograph etc? Or which book you guys recommend for those? I have the AJTT, and seems impossible to get the "Omega Speedmaster The Moon Watch" book which I've seen in this forum that got even the speedmaster Schumacher added and the speedmaster day date. I wonder if this is more comprehensive?

Thanks! I would have been really disappointed to shell out the cash for this book, only to find the watch I'm most interested in isn't represented within.
