Modern Speedmaster Looking Vintage

What do you think? I bought this Italian strap a few weeks ago from a German guy, and I think it rocks. Gives the modern Speedy a vintage look. The strap looks quite similar to the Hodinkee strap (perhaps the same manufacturer in Italy?) but I also have that one, and this one is a bit different. Finish wise it is just a good though, it is just a bit thinner. Very comfortable.

I like it, just order a brown leather hirsch for incoming vintage speedy. Hopefully it will turn out having old tan look.

I'll be the dissenting vote. While I like the aging leather concept, it does not work for me in such a thick strap. I find the strap too heavy and crude looking, and basically out of context for the watch. Of course these things are all about preference.

Never did get the Speedy on brown thing. The whole colouring of the watch shouts BLACK. Unless you have a tropic-type dial which offsets the strap. For me, a strap has to fit with either the dial, the case or at least the hands.
To each his own. I am wearing mine on a Tropic Sport at the moment but will probably return to the 1450 BCT at some point.

I think the brown strap offsets well with the black dial and also I dont particularly like black leather straps, but as you say each to their own 😀

Mine on a brown strap

I like the color of the leather. I don't like the purposely crude finish. I'd want the watch to be just as worn looking as the strap. Just me though.....

I use an organic looking brown strap (with black edges) on my 145.012 mainly and it really does look great, I think in black it actually looks a bit sanitised and it makes the dial look grey while the brown strap makes it look more black by contrast.

See, I used to think that also, but somehow various shades of seems to work with most things... brown

Looks good! I love these straps...they are a little more than the straps I usually buy, but they are really comfortable. I have one on my Tudor and ordered one in 18mm.

I like the aged leather look, don't get me wrong. I just don't want it to look like an old dog collar (no disrespect Sandy )

I have asked the same question and this is the answer:
That one is a MS319620R02S Hadley-Roma Oil-Tan Leather (20mm, Dark Brown)
I got it here:http://www.thewatchprince.com/

......Thanks Steve, glad to know I am not the only one who like your strap

And the official OMEGA folding clasp fits without any adjustments to make?

yes, the 16mm. You have to push it down hard at first, but it breaks in, then once it locks it stays locked.
