I just got my order in for my first Ming (17.09) in the recent 'open' 10 min window (not number limited) batch of orders.

Ming mentioned they had around 2000 orders in!

Anyone else get in/anyone with general feedback on their Ming watch?

I went for the dark red. Very excited to get it (albeit in like 12 months)

Congrats. I didn't try ordering but a good friend of mine managed to snag one in the time limited slot after missing out on the numbered ones a day earlier.

without a doubt. i mean, just look at that micro rotor..

Is that what that is? I thought it looked like a micro rotor! I'm guessing they designed these movements completely in-house?

They went through a 3rd party for the movement (and I think the entire watch actually), Schwarz-Etienne https://www.schwarz-etienne.ch/en/movements/

I'm not an expert, but designing your own movement from scratch they say can cost millions at times, so I imagine it's financially impossible for a microbrand to do

Congrats! I got the burgundy too, in phase 3 ('10 min open window').

Did Ming say it was 2000 of each colour? Or 1000 blue, and 1000 burgundy?

Pretty happy to wait til next year, I'm in no rush honestly. Quite looking forward to this!

Interesting. Those are some pretty unique movements. I've never seen them before.
