Finally found my Mil Omega SM300 W10 Case... been looked for it over 12 years

during this time I made a huge mistake and sold genuine movement and dial
Mil movement been checked by some collector and he confirmed was mil movement
Ive sold it and the person built the watch and ordered extract from Omega and is complete SM300 watch now somewhere
Omega does't confirmed any mil issue note as he used standard case

Does it makes sense to build the watch with non military movement inside

Second option there is a chance that I can buy the watch back complete ( possibly ) not pretty sure if Omega will confirms same movement in different case

Want to find my best option

I was never aware of a specific "military" movement. I always thought it was just a standard Omega movement.

movement cal is standard but the serial number must be genuine and Omega can find the records

In a commercial situation the watch which has the correct military markings, plus the correct range of movement, plus the “ delivery to Goldsmith UK” - or "Ministry of Defence" commands higher estimates. Of course must have right original dial with "Pheon", and possibly soldered lugs. That means , an all-correct specimen has higher monetary and collecting value.

There is a very good book about Seamasters, but it is in Japanese (if you can find one)... you might try Amazon Japan... it's published by World Mook #447.
