Merry Christmas from Books etc - MWO 3rd ed, £102

I ordered Monday and mine shows EXPORTED under Status, but Not Shipped under Shipped:...

When I bought the MWO 2nd edition from Books etc (and several other orders from them too), I've typically ordered on Monday morning and it shows as shipped on Thursday at 00:00; one occasion I ordered Friday and it showed Shipped as the following Wednesday at 00:00.

If that's the case, then as Weds & Thurs this week are not working days, I'd have thought it should show up as having shipped either today or Monday.

Is anyone's status showing 'shipped'? Not sure what 'exported' means, maybe the export paperwork is done?

Mine's still not showing as Shipped... then again, Books etc's website is a bit slow so I wouldn't be surprised if it arrives before being listed as shipped 😉

So I checked this and exported means they have requested the item from their supplier.
They are a middle man who act on a purchasers behalf and acquire the item then ship to customer.
Small margin large volume must be the business model.

Looking forward to receiving mine. Ordered on Christmas, and still on the “exported” phase of the process. Hopefully soon!

Guess the 2-3 days to dispatch didn't really hold up...

Ordered on Dec 23rd, still showing as 'not shipped'. Let's hope the delay is due to Christmas and New Years holidays and not that they don't have physical access to the books. The excellent price will be dulled if there is a long delay in getting a copy.

Same here. I've asked them when I should expect to see it ship, but I'd imagine normal service would resume next week.

Agreed. Kind of misleading though to call it dispatched within 2-3 working days...
I've sent them a note asking for clarification on a shipping estimate.

Not yet. Ordered on 23dec for shipment to California. Shows exported, but not shipped. With two holidays and a bunch of OF members ordering these up it may take a bit for them to get them all shipped out.

Unfortunately we are having trouble getting this book , so it may take a little longer getting to you than usual.


I can assure you that as soon as we receive it we will dispatch immediately.

EDIT: here is the email I just received:
Thank you for your email.
Your order will be shipped on or before the 6th January, and delivery is 10 -15 working days after dispatch. It will be shipped via Royal Mail using a standard, non-tracked service.
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer an express delivery service option.
