It showed up in the newly listed 'Universal Geneve' items on ebay with very familiar looking images. No.
Yup - mine too

How in the world does he think he'll get $500 over MSRP when it's already widely publicized as still in stock at Hodinkee and Massena's site?

Hodinkee also offers free shipping, doesn't charge sales tax, and will pick up import duties. Unlike this eBay listing....

Also, I thought his main argument was that this was quite original... yet look at the item's title.

"like Universal Geneve"

... yet another pump-and-dump scheme, how surprising from Hodinkee and their cohort ::facepalm1::

Must feel pretty highly of his posts in this thread pumping the watch!

As usual, the posters who scream the most about people not 'recognizing' the value of a particular watch are actually trying to pump up the value so they can sell theirs for a profit. It must suck to be a flipper and grab a low-production piece like that, and then find out no one else wants them and you will lose $ on the sale.

I guess his enthusiasm makes it worth more than MSRP.

Yep, same as his eBay listing from last week. He even goes so far as to say "save on import duty in the EU" even though one of Hodinkee's main selling points is that they'll cover any import duties...

Oh good catch. They've offered it in the past and might be something they only do for launches then. Even so, better to buy new at MSRP than give this clown more for no good reason

I've seen it before too as a temporary offer on magazines and maybe accessories.
