I think this sub-forum is going to really like the release...though it's slightly different than what's been pieced together by Rescapement.

Universal Massena Uni-Compax based on the buckle analysis 😜

I've never gotten into UG but look forward to seeing what they do with the brand.

I'll admit my curiosity is piqued. Will be interested to see what movement is used and the price point, as well as whether it's a one-off or the first in a series of releases to revive the UG brand.

The recent Habring is gorgeous. I’m not familiar with how his releases work - the Habring was released to “friends and family” but does that mean everyone who has signed up to receive emails from Massena Lab or is there a smaller, more exclusive club?

Something like this? This would be pretty sweet.

The big eye subdial seems to go to 30 instead of 45. There may be two dial variations (white and black). The logo may be "Massena Lab" with UG font.

All these suppositions result from the stories on IG.

Honestly ... I smell a huge price tag and also reminding myself that this is really like one of those Auburn or Cord replicars. Cool but not real.

Yup. This is where I can't get too excited about reissues, homages or "in the style of" anymore. I bought several but I find I just don't wear them and ended up hunting down the watches they were trying to emulate. Even the ones that are reisusses of watches i could never afford (like a UG) - I know they aren't "real" and it will nag in the back of my head. I've slowly been selling my modern/vintage pieces off as I replace them with real vintage pieces. I guess I would rather have a real vintage Wakmann than a fake vintage UG.
