Since writing (recorded and signed for delivery) I've heard nothing. They are still advertising on Facebook. Not sure whether a solicitor would get any further ?
Anyone else in similar position ?

Companies House (UK) website works well and is linked to in an earlier post.

As said in an earlier post, Luxury Watch Repairs Ltd changed name to LWR Realisations Ltd and as someone has said they are in administration. If you click on the people tab you see Oliver Pollock as the sole Direcctor, (within "peole" clicking on the persons with significant control tab you see Talia Pollock.)

Go back to the Officers page, click on Oliver Pollock and you will see thet he is also a Director of Luxury Watch Repairs Retail Limited, same address, similar name, same activities. Phoenix from the ashes?

Make of that what you will, but I won't be sending a watch to them. I'm afriad I've no suggestions about how to get your money or watch back.

Almost certainly a phoenix company.

The administrator is a pure nightmare to deal with and despite suppying receipts for the watches sent in for repair and the serial numbers they cannot locate them as work was farmed out to other companies.

Who i would assume are not returning items if they are owed money

I’m not making excuses for administrators, many do as little as possible and in any case have a first duty to any secured creditors, but it might be that LWR/ LWR Realisations transferred the Hatton Garden lease and assets to LWR Retail before going into administration so the administrator can’t even access the place where the watches may or may not be.

This may be the case, But if it was then surely the administrators would say so... In my friends case receipts and serial numbers have been provided for four Vintage speedmasters. The only confirmation we have had ,verbally is that no vintage repairs were undertaken in house and all farmed out to other workshops and that records are vague and haphazard.

My thinking is they could not have had that many vintage speedmasters in and it would not be that difficult to check each one for the serial numbers. But realistically if the work has been farmed out to other workshops and they have not been paid then they are not going to pass over other unpaid work.

My friend has all but given up hope if truth be known

I thought I was ‘suffering’ from Deja Vu when I saw the above article in today’s Times but it’s actually published on page 65

I have similar but worse problems. Just sending a solicitors letter now. Did you get the watch back?
Same here, I threatened to call the police after 11 months of lies and delays. My daughter went and picked up the watch the next day, I don't believe they actually did do the service. I thought they were a scam company and had sold my watch.

Hi, when was this that you managed too collect ? Recievers cannot even locate my friends watches despite having a seperate receipt for each one.

you were very lucky! They went bust a few months later

True, all I lost was the money for the service which I'm sure was not completed, all the time chasing and the stress for almost a year of thinking they had stolen my watch, but I am luckier than some and I feel their pain:-(

Update on my Seamaster, it was returned repaired as they said, no explanation, it just arrived one day. So you never know, they may return any outstanding watches after all.

Hi everyone, I Just wanted to give a heads up to any UK members about a company called Luxury Watch Repairs Ltd, Hatton Garden, London. I would strongly advise anyone not to use this company if you ever want to see your watch again!

In April of this year I sent my Omega Seamaster watch to them for a full service and replacement bracelet. I was quoted a price of £1,791.60 to carry out the work with an estimated timescale of 15-20 weeks and the quotation terms stated "The service for your watch is an official Omega service and our service centre is fully authorised, approved and recognised by Omega".

With this in mind I agreed to the quotation and paid the full amount for them to go ahead with the work. I have since attempted to contact them to enquire about the delays, initial emails were ignored and when I eventually managed to contact them by phone I was given conflicting reasons for the delay on two different occasions. Quite clearly these were just lies and excuses.

As the company was an Omega authorised repair centre I decided to contact Omega themselves to complain about the poor service only to be told by Omega that the company was no longer an authorised repair centre and any accreditation they had previously had was removed in July of this year.

As they were clearly no longer able to provide the official Omega service that I was paying for I contacted them to request that they return my watch and my money. Again several emails were ignored, promises that someone would call me back were never followed up on, and when I finally did get a response I was told that they had sent my watch to an official Omega service centre to carry out the work and it should be completed in 7 - 10 days. They stated that they would be checking up on progress every few days and keeping me informed. When I asked them to tell me who the company was that would be carrying out the work they refused to give me that information.

This was over 3 weeks ago and I still do not have my watch back and have had no further communication from them. I have attempted to contact them again but yet again my email has been ignored. This is without a doubt the most appalling customer service I have ever encountered and it now seems that after almost 8 months my only course of action is to take expensive legal action to attempt to recover my property and my money.
I am just commencing a small claims court application against them using casecraft.ai
Had anyone had any success suing them or getting their money back through the baliffs ?

I have subsequentoy foind out that after teling me the watch had to be sent to omega in Switzerland , they sent the Watch To omega in Southampton. Once it was fully repaired and serviced by omega, it went back to LER and t came back to me missing parte, changed battery and water damage: as i said above, m going to the small claims court and then hope to use high court baliffs. Anyone have any such experience ?
