Hi OF!

Just back recently from a lovely trip to London, and I have to share it with you (of course…😁)!

I managed to bring my wife with me on this one, and she had some wishes that I just had to fulfill....
And one of here dreams would be to visit Highclere Castle, and for those of you who don't know (why would you..😉),
it is a beautiful castle, where they did the series and movies of Downton Abbey.

So that was one day gone from my watch agenda…

Anyway,

I had received info from Simon Freese that my watches were ready for pickup, and this was in the beginning of the year.
I actually dropped them off last autumn, so Simon had lots of time to work on them.

I didn't have time to go to London until now, but Simon was ok with this.

And during that time, I managed to find another nice Speedy!
OPPPAAAA!!!
🍺🍺🍺

And Simon did the service on that one also!
That watch deserves an own post in the close future, so stay tuned.

So I had three watches to pick up.

The Speedy 105.012-66 that I did a previous post about:

And I kept the bezel on that one, I might do a swap in the future, but for now it will hang on!

The Seamaster 300 165024 (No Dot - thanks @TexOmega for that one - I did not know that!!!)
Post on this one:

Simon managed to sort out the 1039 bracelet (I might need to get some new springs), and he also replaced the crystal - Thanks @Dash1 !!

And my latest Speedy - a 145.022-69!
An auction report will come in the future!
Simon really like this one, and even did a couple of posts on his Instagram account - and it was a great success there!

I also had a book that was delivered to Simon from our Dear Forumfriend @Dash1 - once again, thanks Mate!
The book is breathtaking with so much info and tons of lovely pictures, a true gem!!

The rest of our time was spent in the classic tourist London way!

But I also managed to visit Mr Daniel Somlo in the Burlington Arcade.
I have read about the shop that they have, and that they are very much into Speedys…🤩
And he had lots of goodies, the one I played with the most was the 2915-1!
He himself sported a 2998-1….what a true gentleman!

Happy Days!

Enjoy the pictures Guys and Gals!

Starting with Highclere Castle (I was not allowed to take indoor pictures during the tour....sneaked in one...)

Afternoon tea!

On to the watches!!

With Daniel Somlo at his shop!

Playing tourist!

Winding down at the airport!

The Amazing book!!

And some wristshots!
