Hoping someone can confirm my translation of this:

Google translate has it as this:

If this translation is correct this was sold in Taiwan? May seem exceptionally unimportant but if someone would humor me I would be grateful.

on the right under the date box is "52110." This is a warranty card for a 80,993,XXX mil serial 2531.80.

Hi Erich....below is a Grok translation. I hope it helps you.

The image shows a stamp from a jeweler with both Chinese and English text. Here’s the translation of the Chinese text into English:
Jeweler: 昌威珠寶有限公司
Translated to English:
Jeweler: Changwei Jewelry Co., Ltd.
商品保證書專用章
Translated to English:
Special Seal for Product Warranty Certificate
北市民權東路三段72號地下
Translated to English:
Basement, No. 72, Section 3, Minquan East Road, Taipei City
TEL: 0800-0986668
This is already in English and remains the same:
TEL: 0800-0986668
The stamp appears to be an official seal for a jewelry company based in Taipei, Taiwan, used for warranty or certification purposes

I appreciate the time you took- it gives me essentially the same data. Assuming both Gemini and Grok have it right, then it was indeed sold originally in Taiwan.

(thanks, just have a bit of a detective case on my hands!)

昇恆昌股份有限公司
中正機場
商品保證專用章
台北市民權東路三段72號地下1樓

Ever Rich Duty Free Shop (昇恆昌股份有限公司) is a major duty-free retailer in Taiwan, operating stores in airports like Taoyuan and Kaohsiung International Airports. The company provides high-quality products and services to travelers and actively supports cultural and sports events, including Taiwan's Olympic athletes. Ever Rich is also hiring for various positions, such as HR management.

Since "中正機場" is the former name of Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, it was most likely sold at a duty-free shop inside the airport.

Awesome, thank you.

This 2531 was re-sold in Thailand November 2006 (Kinda cool, I have a sales receipt from then!). The seller I picked it up from thought that this watch might originally have been sold in Thailand, But I started to suspect the warranty card writing didn't line up with that assessment (not that it matters, the sales location isn't important so much as detective work). The card is dated my birthday in 2005! Kinda crazy and cool. I've also got a disintegrating original red box that feels slightly tacky. Pretty cool!

Both 2005 and 2006 were super important, life-changing years for me, so it's really, really awesome to have a watch from my birthday from then.

Lovely watch.

As I look at my Omega collection (10 or so watches), I think the most recent was made in 2012.

Thanks. I have a couple of modern ones but I tend to gravitate more towards vintage and vintage inspired designs.

Thank you, I did! Almost picked up a black no date, but went to see the older 2531 and I loved it.
