Anybody have access or know where I can get an official Omega Straps catalogue with some real measurements?

Omega Service Center in Toronto suggested that I get an real Omega Strap and Buckle as part of the service of my Vintage Omega (1955 Seamaster Reference 2846-1),

16mm Buckle = $60 CAD
Calf Kar Pad Brown Norm 18x16 Mat = $200 CAD

Correspondence over email with the Omega Service Center is so far not very helpful,

Q: Do you sell for small wrists (5.75 ~70mm and 115mm)?
A: We sell smaller straps yes.

Q: Do you have picture/strap that came with the watch originally?
A: ... ignored my question

Q: Do you have a catalogue of pictures?
A: Single picture (attached below)

Q: I checked your website, only a few natos, can you send me a link maybe of your catalogue?
A: Different person - Take a look at www.omegawatches.com and if you have a watch (which I did include in the trail) in mind let us know.

I have a feeling there is a catalogue, otherwise where did the picture the first Service rep send me come from?

Why go for the official strap? I've tried aftermarket straps and then fit a real Omega Buckle on and found it's not quite the right fit. And now I just want to know.

The photo they sent you comes from the Omega Extranet - not a publicly accessible site

The strap in question is part #97632064. The dimensions are 75 X 115. The 16 mm steel buckle is part #94511602.

This strap comes in three lengths, short, normal, and long. The above is normal, but is the closest to the dimensions you asked for. The short version is 65 X 105, and the part number for that is 97632064S.

What else is it that you need?

The best advice we can probably give you is to get your watch back from the Omega service center and find a watchmaker who is experienced in sympathetic restorations of vintage watches.

Unfortunately, the recommended folks I contacted here were already booked up. I did insist Omega Toronto send it to Switzerland (glad I did given the Toronto correspondence) and to leave untouched the dial and case. Hands, I was ok with provided it's replacements would be the exact same length and shape.

 

This 11/16th is similar and is also priced ridiculously high. But maybe you can get a better price.

Thanks for everyone's help. Just to close the loop. I was told the 16mm buckle Omega Service Center recommended should now be 14mm to match the below straps (sigh).

Opinions welcome... a) buy Omega b) custom strap: dark brown like the add VetPsychWars posted. It seems to taper less so stick with the 16mm buckle. And of course I can then add "quick release". c) buying this Oris Strap and fitting in an Omega Buckle,


Omega Straps - Alligator straps are $300 CAD and others are $200.

 

Oh, we’re spending your money? Then, absolutely, go for the Omega strap but source a NOS period correct gold filled Omega buckle.

If I was spending my money? I’d buy a value strap from another supplier, making sure to get the lug fit perfect at a good value cost and use a generic buckle (and start an eBay autosearch for a good value Omega buckle to buy later).
