Looking for Comments — 1953 Constellation

Hi, all. I’m hoping to get some expert opinions and comments on a watch I’ve owned for a while.

What I’m curious about is the degree to which it’s original and correct.

Here’s what I know. The case back is 2652 7 SC. It’s movement is a cal 354 bumper, with a 13 million serial number (1953).

The two-tone waffle dome dial appears to have been cleaned, and so the print is faded and there are losses to the minute track and crosshairs. It appears otherwise unrestored to me. I have a vague recollection of this being called a “deluxe” dial.

The hands are fantastically shiny, and so I think they are replacements. They look a little short, and so I’m curious whether they are correct.

The case has been polished, that’s for sure (and possibly more than some here would prefer). The medallion is in good shape — I’m guessing it’s made of steel, and if so, what that tells us. Replacement?

I believe the crown is correct.

I sure appreciate your thoughts on this one. Here are some pictures. Many thanks in advance.

I have no idea what is going on with that caseback medallion - they’re usually gold. Unless the whole watch is WG but highly doubt it.

Thanks, ConElPueblo. I remembered posting it, but forgot the detail…. So, the caseback solved, thanks.

Can anyone help with the hands?
