Hi, I have written a little photo essay on the history of the Weems bezel. https://thespringbar.com/blogs/guides/why-weems-invented-the-rotating-bezel I am interested to know if any member has access to a bottom bezel lock model, and can access the serial number of the movement. See left hand image below.
Let us not forget the Longines Weems's cousin, the Wittnauer Weems! Here is mine with original box and brochures. (And let us recall the other recent Longines Weems thread: https://omegaforums.net/threads/longines-weems.153912/). Nice two-tone dial with red square at 60. The movement is different than the Longines version. I thought the instruction booklet was interesting. The Weems bezel could be used on any of the three hands, depending on the length of the flight. The box is pretty serious--silk, velvet, and a metal plaque inside. And, it can be used as a cigarette case! Good to know!
