Longines ETA 2894-2 - verdigris?

Next project on my bench is this Longines chrono with an ETA 2984-2 inside. I removed the second wheel and found corrosion on the shaft….

I haven’t dealt with verdigris much, but I’ve dealt with plain ol’ rust. Anyone have any good recommendations for how to manage this? Or should I just assume to need to buy a replacement wheel?

Verdigris can usually be cleaned with vinegar or something acidic. It's green thought, what you have looks different?

I tried vinegar and it worked. Thank you. (And from the pics, it may not appear green but it is… the post is bronze, which is probably where it came from.)
