·I’m trying to service a Longines with an ETA 2894-2 moment. It has a Dubois-Dépraz chrono mechanism.
I have read that the entire chrono mechanism detaches as a single unit and is designed to be cleaned without taking it apart. But this just seems… wrong to me.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
I recently restored an Omega 321 and 861, so I’m comfortable around chronos. But I just want to be sure.
