small update: y'all are terrible, but I should have known better. the seller is getting flooded with out of state requests. I am meeting him in an hour, updates to come.

Most of the time thats from grey market. Or an AD who pawns off their stock to grey market dealers and doesnt want the brand to know its from them. Not that big of a deal as long as you know the watch is legit.

It might be a big deal later, if he takes it to Omega for service and they refuse to service it. And forget about resale value with the Serial # gone.

Well guys, I got it! Protip: if something like this happens to you, DO NOT post about it on the forums. Unless you want to get bought out. I got lucky that this guy wanted a local sale. It made for a fun day for us though.

you are going to hate me, but I check once a month. last month I got a $30 G Shock (MSRP ~120) and this month I got the SMP. I just type in 'watch' and it is given to me like a Christmas gift. I don't know what to tell you.

Omega won't refuse to service it, unless the serial number is also missing on the movement. And of course, there is no need to use Omega for service of a watch like this in the first place.
