路There was a nice story from Robert Jan about acquiring his birth year Speedmaster, a nice 1977 unworn example. Then a fair bit of hyperbole and brand message of quality and heritage. It then got interesting with a chat from Petros about the Russian cosmonauts use of Omegas and my phone battery died馃檨
Edit: The best bit was probably Petros getting increasingly frustrated at the beginning trying to connect to his guests as thousands sent waves and likes preventing him from finding Robert Jan or Raynald

路@Robert-Jan had an amazing story about a 1977 dead-stock Speedmaster chronograph from a store in Bogota... his birthyear Speedmaster !
Omega CEO Raynald Aeschlimann was talking about Racing Speedmaster chronographs and the reveal during a Michael Schumacher cart event...
Omega Heritage manager Petros Protopapas talked about Speedmaster chronographs used by cosmonauts, which are on display at the renewed Omega museum... among others Aleksei Yeliseyev (1973) and Talgat Musabayev (1998)
He also mentioned to bring more information about the Omega Alaska Project during upcoming #SpeedyTuesday events...
Questions of viewers were answered and I remember that new releases will be postponed due to the COVID-19 virus situation!
Edit: Mr Protopapas also talked about the in-Scotch-tape-covered Omega Speedmaster used on the Mir space station

It's terrible... Zoom Webinar for Panel type discussions is pretty much the gold standard... but you do have to pay for it 馃槈

Anyway an interesting heads-up of what Omega is planning to do ( postponement new releases and no ST3 in 2020 ) and a few subjects which should be discussed more extensively during upcoming SpeedyTuesday events once COVID-19 crisis blows over...
A more elaborate pre-recorded YouTube video would be better as the quality would be higher and more people in the SpeedyTuesday community could view & download the event

zoom is super user friendly indeed. But it has its lot of confidentiality issues. Lately related to Facebook, now still with a more than dubious installation/update process on MacOS.

True.
What they could do, is setup a private zoom panel between the participants, and stream straight through YouTube, as a YouTube Live session.
They lose the chat/emojis, but very frankly, they did not make the Omega live stream better 馃榿

Well with this Covid-19 situation, lockdown in a few countries with the Omega protagonists in different locations, it's the best they could do...

路Well it really made my day poor Petros was hilarious. What a nightmare situation. He seems like a lovely guy and in his position ,I would have given up so hats off to him. It really is brilliant these days to watch live streams with the head of Omega , Robert Jan and Petros and feel like you know them and believe we all want the best for Omegas future. During these times you need a bit of a laugh. All the best guys
