Wow, I've never seen the world timer in person before.
I'll be honest, I wasn't blown away. I know it's platinum and that's why it's £36k but, let's say it was £5600 in steel. There are nicer world times out there for that money - Nomos for a start.

A 2998 doctors watch was listed for $4500 earlier this week on chrono24!

Really? How come I can’t find it?

Thanks but now gone.
Anybody seen one in the UK AD's or OB's?
The one I posted is in Keanes Jewellers in Cork. You could get a Ryanair flight for 40 quid return and pick it up.

Legitimate option to fly cheapest airline, but a little ironic isn’t it for someone to fly cheap airline to buy an expensive luxury item? 😉

Seems like that is the way many can afford expensive luxury items 😎 They are a reward for being cheap/ frugal most of the time.

Serious question: Can anyone tell me how many limited edition models/references Omega has released so far in 2018?

Too many ::facepalm1::

... so I did some window shopping today. And I was pretty much suprised on the amount of modern Omega LEs readily available:
Olypmic seamaster in red ... the most wanted one according to fellow members:

The Railmaster LE I had on my wrist about a year ago is also still there:

Commander Bonds watch is still waiting for a customer:

The Cernan LE anybody?

And finally the doctors panda:

Three ADs, 45min of walk.
I've found that a little bit disturbing.

Do you also experience that there seems to be significant LE stock that does not move for a longer period of time in your area?

where abouts is it you live if you dont mind me asking? Im interested

No.

I'm also not sick when Apple comes out with new iPhone editions.

I'm not sick when Porsche comes out with a new 911.

I'm not sick with any 'for-profit' company does what a 'for-profit' company should do.

I am not.

I look forward to LEs. In fact, I’m excited to see what Omega has in store for us wit their LEs.

I don’t buy watches because it has to be unique and limited. I buy watches because I love the design and it will fit my lifestyle or my collection parameter.

I love Omega LEs because I know I have a chance to get one because not all LEs will be desired by the community or collectors. And that’s fine with me.

The day the LE price rises is just a bonus.

Depends if the design is nice or not.

I don't see what's so bad about LE's, minus the fact that maybe releases should be spaced out a little to avoid unsold stock.

It gives choice, lots of choice and chances to own amazing time pieces.

There was a trilogy seamaster at an Ad nearby less than a month ago. I wonder if it’s still there. I was definitely suprised to see it

I visited two ADs and an OB at the weekend. All had the Trillogy Railmaster and one had a trilligy sm300. All at full list. I bought a regular SM300 recently, preferred it to the LE tbh.

I was in Weir & Sons in Dublin this morning. They have two Speedmaster 60th's, a CK2998 doctors and an Apollo 17, not to mention a Grand Seiko Snowflake.

I was offered very recently a CK2998 Pulsation version "doctors watch" at an interesting price (10% below € list). BNIB with stickers. The person who bought it first, decided not to wear it but resell it instead. Unfortunately I already own that same watch so was not able to take the offer.... The interesting part here is that it seems to be possible to find a LE below list price.

Just found both the 60th Anniversary LE Speedmaster and Seamaster in Stock at the Amsterdam (Schiphol) Airport travel retail. Fairly priced as well.

To me, it is yet another indication that buying LE’s as an investment is not very sensible. So I’ll just continue enjoying the few that I own and wear them, a lot.
